Recent studies have shown that using tablets with autistic children favors focus and motivation. By customizing learning processes thanks to immediate feedbacks and adapted softwares (slowing down sound and image), challenging behaviours decrease and school results get better, leading them towards more social interactions, as well as more autonomy.
The AppLINOU-BEP research project aims at adapting the AppLINOU app (developed by the LINUMEN project) to autistic preschool children.
Goals of this project
The AppLINOU-BEP research project aims at creating a digital app to help autistic children to gain maths and French skills to make their entry to elementary school easier, which is a crucial educational step.
It also aims at confirming that using a tablet can help autistic children to develop social skills by stimulating social interactions and cooperations with others.
